What is static caravan insurance and do I need it?

Static caravan insurance is similar to home insurance in that it provides coverage against theft, accidental damage, fire, flooding, vandalism and liability claims.

While static caravan insurance is not a legal requirement, it’s not uncommon for holiday parks to request you purchase a policy before they allow you to buy a caravan on their site.

Where can I buy static caravan insurance?

Fortunately, many providers offer comprehensive and affordable static caravan insurance online.
And, while there are many options to choose from, not all policies offer the same price point or features. Therefore, you might find some policies better suited to your needs than others.

To ensure you select the right policy for your needs, consider the following before making a purchase:

  • Your budget
  • You caravan specifications
  • The age of your caravan
  • Types of coverage you required (for example, public liability insurance)
  • Whether you intend to rent your caravan commercially

However, if you’re looking for static caravan insurance that covers you for public liability insurance, loss of use, theft, fires, flooding and much more, a policy from Save More Money could be the right one for you.
