This policy covers the legal costs and expenses of pursuing or defending a range of motoring disputes, including:

• Recovering uninsured losses following a non-fault accident, such as personal injury compensation, loss of earnings and hire car costs.
• Defending a criminal motoring prosecution where a genuine defence exists.
• Disputes relating to the use or ownership of your vehicle.
• Civil or criminal proceedings arising from vehicle cloning.
• Recovery of illegal clamping or towing fees.
• Appeals against unenforceable parking fines.
• Disputes concerning the Motor Insurance Database.
• Defending your driving licence or goods vehicle operator’s licence.

This policy does not cover:

• Claims where the at-fault party is uninsured or untraced.
• Any incidents you knew about before the policy started.
• Costs incurred without prior authorisation.
• Claims arising outside the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or Isle of Man.
• Fines, damaged or penalties ordered by a court.
• Claims relating to drink or drug driving, racing or speed testing.
• Any claim where you have never held or are disqualified from holding a driving licence.
• Claims with less than a 50% chance of a successful outcome.
