Policy Benefits:
Whilst driving your vehicle you will be covered for any one claim or claims arising out of one incident following:
Property damage up to £20,000,000;
Property damage costs/expenses up to £5,000,000;
Legal costs up to £35,000.
Third Party Cover for driving other cars is provided when shown on your motor certificate.
Loss of or damage to your vehicle as shown in your schedule for accidental damage, fire and theft. We will either cover your costs to repair, pay a cash amount to replace or replace the lost or damaged item. The most we will pay for the loss of or damage to your vehicle is up to the value shown on your schedule.
Damage to your windscreen or windows is provided.
Loss of keys and replacing locks for your vehicle if lost or stolen and have not been recovered up to £500, provided you let the police know and we deem it necessary to replace the above stated items due to a risk of the vehicle being stolen.
Childs seats (or booster seat) will be replaced up to £150 per child seat (max of 2 seats), if they were in your vehicle at the time of an accident or theft.
Medical expenses for you or anyone who is injured while they are in your vehicle as a result of an accident up to £200.
Personal Accident cover for you or your husband, wife or civil partner, if involved in an accident and within three months of that accident it is the only cause of death or injury. The most we will pay in any period of insurance is £7,000.
Death £7,000.
Loss of any limb or permanent loss of sight in one or both eyes £5,000.
Personal belongings, including an electric vehicle charging cable lost or damaged in or on your vehicle caused by an accident, fire, theft or attempted theft, up to £150

Any legal liability, loss or damage if driving whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Frequently asked questions
- Pipework outside the boundary of your home.
- Leaks from household appliances, sinks, baths, or showers where the leak only occurs when the item is in use.
- Frozen pipes which have not caused any damage.
- Guttering or rainwater downpipes, rainwater drains and soakaways.
- Blocked toilets that are not leaking, or overflowing, and where there is another available toilet in the home.
- Repairs if your boiler is deemed beyond economical repair.
- In relation to electrical cover - domestic appliances or items with a plug.
- In relation to electrical cover - swimming pools, fish tanks, ponds, burglar and smoke alarms, satellite/TV equipment, doorbells, garage doors, shower units, portable and fixed heating systems, immersion heaters, power generating systems including solar panels and wind turbines, any 3 phase electrical systems or garden areas.
- Collapsed drains.
- Any external gas supply pipe or any piping that is the responsibility of the National Grid.
- Pest infestations outside the main house at your home (for example in garages, other outbuildings or in the garden.
- Where an appliance has caused a circuit to fail or trip.
- Any incident within the initial exclusion period after the start date of your policy.
- Any item or system which has not been regularly maintained and/or serviced in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions or recommendations.
- Claims arising whilst or immediately after your home has been left unoccupied for 60 or more consecutive days.
- Any work carried out by you or any other person which was not authorised by the claims administrator in advance.
- Any parts or item which may need to be replaced due to natural wear and tear and/or gradual deterioration.
- Your vehicle must be a private car, a light commercial vehicle or a motorcycle and must be less than 3,500kg gross vehicle weight
- The private car or motorcycle detailed within your schedule which is 15 years or less than in age. Light commercial vehicle (excluding couriers and hire and reward) detailed within your schedule which is 10 years or less than in age.
- Your vehicle cannot be used for the purpose of providing a courier service or for hire and reward. It cannot be a minibus, motorhome, horsebox or limousine.
- Caravans/trailers attached to your vehicle when a breakdown occurs will only be recovered if fitted with a standard towing hitch and if the caravan/trailer does not exceed 7 metres in length (applicable only where the cover level you selected includes caravan/trailer cover).
- If you have selected Cover Level European or European Plus, cover will only be provided where the duration of any single European trip does not exceed 90 days.
- The United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
If you have chosen Cover Levels European or European Plus, cover is provided in the countries listed under the definition of “Territorial Limits (Europe)” which can be found in the Definitions section at the end of the Policy Document.
Disclosing important information
(This applies if you are a private individual taking out the insurance wholly or mainly for purposes unrelated to your business, trade or profession) You must take reasonable care to provide complete and accurate answers to questions you are asked when you take out or make any changes to your policy.
Duty of fair presentation
(This applies if you are taking out the insurance contract in any other capacity) Under the Insurance Act 2015, you have a duty to make fair representation of the risk to us before the policy starts, when you make any amendments to your cover and when you renew your policy. This means you must:
- Disclose all material facts which you know or ought to know (A “material fact” is information that would influence our decision as to whether to inure you and, if so, on what terms)
- Make the disclosure in a reasonably clear and accessible way and;
Ensure that every material representation of fact is substantially correct and made in good faith Full details of what constitutes “fair presentation” and the consequences of breaching this duty are given in the Policy Document
You pay for your policy in full when you take your policy out.
Your cover starts on the policy start date shown on your Policy Schedule and continues for a period 12 months as shown on your Policy Schedule.
- You have the right to cancel this policy within 14 days of the date you purchased the policy or when you received the policy documents if this is later. This is known as your cooling off period. You do not need to provide a reason for cancellation, and we will provide a full refund of any premium paid, unless you have made a claim or there has been an incident likely to result in a claim.
- Thereafter you may cancel the insurance cover at any time by informing your administrator however no refund of premium will be payable
